Becoming an Editor for a Human Edited Web Directory 3 OF 4
- 0 Comments
The privileges given by most Web Directories to their editors follow a hierarchal ranking. When an editor is starting out, he is given privileges to edit a certain category in the directory that he has shown proficiency in. Once the editor has showcased that he can meet the editing standards of the Web Directory; he is then given privilege over a broader category in the system.
If the editor is consistent and reliable, he can then rise to one of the highest positions where he can have editing control over the whole of the directory. For those editors who are new to the craft, there are Web Directories like the ODP that encourage cross editor mentorship.
