It is important to remember that Web Directory is different from a search engine as it does not look for articles that have the most keyword density. It instead looks through the links listed and shortlist those that are most relevant to your search. Most existing Web Directories are Human Edited Directories. This means that each web directory has a team of volunteer editors that continually update and edit their content. Examples of Web Directories include: The Open Directory Project, Yahoo! Director and the World Wide Web Virtual Library.

Internet Press –This technology trend is probably more related to RSS feeds than Web Directories. The Internet Press is as it name suggests – a press or a news source that is focuses on getting their news out through the internet. It presents itself as your own newspaper page; the only difference is that it is found on the World Wide Web. Reliable Internet Press sources make life for business oriented people. They are still able to look through the latest news while they are working on answering their emails. Examples of the Internet Press include: The Free Internet Press and Yahoo! News.
