As the new millennium begins, blogging is already a phenomenon. Tips and various techniques are introduced and people realized the significance of the blogging community. Politicians and other famous personalities began using blogs to express their views and opinions on important matters and issues. Many celebrated American blog came out such as AndrewSullivan.com by Andrew Sullivan, Glenn Reynold’s Instapundit and Ron Gunzburger’s Politic1.com.
By 2002, blog takes its new forms by covering and shaping every story of the society. Blogging became a medium to distribute news, providing important information to the public. During the tsunami in December of 2004, blogs such as Medecins Sans Frontieres played an important role as a news source. It uses the SMS technology to report affected part in Southern India and Sri Lanka. Blogs like Gulfsails and Interdictor helped share information during the Katrina Hurricane in August of 2005.
Then, in January of 2005, Ben Trott, Jason Calacanis, Peter Rojas, Robert Scoble. Jonathan Schwartz, Xeni Jardin, and Mena Trott were dubbed by Fortune magazine as bloggers that business groups “could not ignore”.
